Shayla

Shayla is an award-winning short film about identity, bullying, resilience, and the moment a young person begins to understand her own strength.

The project combines grounded character work with heightened visual storytelling. The goal was to keep the emotional reality of the story at the center while using cinematic imagery, editing, sound, and visual effects to support Shayla’s inner experience.

Corporate & Promotional Video

The FiNe Baking Company

This promotional video was created for The FiNe Baking Company, a small business in West Seattle led by founder Chely Smithgall.

The piece highlights Chely’s journey from accountant to fitness instructor to professional baker, while also showcasing the color, texture, detail, and care that go into her custom cakes, cupcakes, pastries, and baked goods.

The creative goal was to make the video feel personal and craft-focused, not just product-focused. The story needed to communicate quality, warmth, and customer care while still giving viewers a strong visual sense of the work.
